About James Nutt Photography

Me and the puppy

Welcome to James Nutt Photography.

My name is James Nutt and I am a 28 year-old, currently living in Preston, England. At a young age, my Granddad inspired me to enter the wonderful world of photography due to his work as a wartime photographer during World War II. It quickly became a passion of mine which has developed over the years to include motor sport photography, landscapes and portraits.

My main area of expertise lies within motorsports photography. Being able to photograph motorbikes travelling anywhere between 50-130mph takes a great amount of patience and an eye for detail. My meticulous nature ensures that photos are of the highest quality and captures the speed and drama that motorsport can deliver.

Landscapes are a huge contrast from the fast pace and complications of motorbikes. I am able to encompass the tranquility and picturesque views that the UK can provide. It takes a great amount of patience to observe the surroundings and capture it at the most opportune moment.

2015 and 2016 were exciting years for my photography business; I was honoured to be asked to photograph two weddings of close friends. Although I was extremely nervous to begin with, after capturing beautiful couples, candid family moments and interacting with lovely guests, I quickly realised that my motor sport and landscape photography skills could lend themselves to these wonderful events.

2017 continues to be equally exciting with two weddings already booked and even more motorsport events in the diary.
